  சித்தியை கைகொண்டவர்களே சித்தர்கள் எனப்படுவோர். உண்மையான சித்தர்கள் காலத்தை வென்றவர்கள். அவர்களால் இயற்கையை மீறிய பல செயல்களையும் செய்ய இயலும். காடுகளிலும், குகைகளிலும் வாழ்ந்தவர்க ள் வெய்யில் மற்றும் மழையை பொருட்படுத்தியது இல்லை. சித்தர்களுக்கு மரணம் கிடையாது என்ற நம்பிக்கை சிலரிடம் உண்டு. ஆனால் அது சரியான கூற்றாக இருக்க முடியாது. ஏன் எனில் பிறக்கும்போதே மனிதனின் மரணமும் நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்டே பிறக்கிறார்கள். சாதாரண மனிதர்களுக்கும், சித்தர்களுக்கும் உள்ள வேறுபாடு என்ன என்றால் மனிதர்களால் விஞ்ஞான ரீதியில் இல்லாமல் நேரடியாக செய்ய இயலாத காரியங்களை சித்தர்களால் செய்ய முடியும். உதாரணமாக சித்தர்களால் வானிலே பறிக்க இயலும். கூடு விட்டு கூடு பாய முடியும். நினைத்த நேரத்தில் பல நாட்களுக்கு மட்டும் அல்ல பல வருடங்கள் கூட உணவின்றி, தண்ணீர் அருந்தாமல் சமாதி நிலையில் இருக்க முடியும். ஒரு ஷ ண நேரத்தில் மிகச் சிறிய அல்லது மிகப் பெரிய உருவை எடுக்க முடியும். பல காலத்துக்குப் பிறகு நடக்க இருப்பதை , அவ்வளவு ஏன் பல வருடங்களுக்குப் பிறகு நடக்க உள்ளதை இன்றே கூற  முடியும். சித்தர்கள் ப...

Ascetics or Supernal possessing mystic power are called Siddah Purush. They are considered to have won over the time.
